TRUE False

People who follow Jesus
1 TRUE. We strive to adhere to the doctrines and conduct of Jesus Christ. (1 Peter 2:21) However, there are many ways we are different from other religious organizations referred to as Christian. For instance, we have discovered that the Bible affirms the belief that Jesus is the son of God and does not belong to a Trinity. (Mark 12:29) We do not think that the soul is immortal or the existence of any foundation in Scripture to say that God is a cruel God who tortures people to eternal hell. Nor do we believe that those who take the lead in religious activities should have titles that elevate them above others.–Ecclesiastes 9:5; Ezekiel 18:4; Matthew 23:8-10.

The world
2 FALSE. The Bible says that God created all things. However, we do not share the views of many people who believe in the creationist view. Why is that? Because many Creationists’ theories are inconsistent with the Bible. For instance, some claim that the creature’s six days were 24 hour days. However, the word “day” in the Bible can mean a substantial duration of time. (Genesis 2:14; Psalm 90:4) Then also, certain creationists believe they believe that earth’s age is several millennia old. But the Bible affirms that the earth and universe existed for a long time before the creation period of six days. 1–Genesis 1:1.

A Stethoscope
3 FALSE. We do accept medical treatment. Indeed we are doctors, like the first century Christian identified as Luke. (Colossians 4:14) But we do not support any procedure that violates Bible rules. For instance, we don’t accept blood transfusions because the Bible prohibits the use of blood.–Acts 15:20 28, 29.

We want the most effective medical care for our families and ourselves in all cases. The blood conservation procedures designed to aid Witness patients are now utilized to benefit everyone in the community. In several countries, anyone can now choose to stay clear of the risk of blood transfusions, like immune system reactions, bloodborne illnesses, and human error.

An open book
4 TRUE. The complete Scriptures are “inspired of God and beneficial.” (2 Timothy 3:16) This includes Scriptures from the Old Testament and the New Testament in the manner they are usually referred to. We refer to these portions from the Bible as the Hebrew Scriptures and the Christian Greek Scriptures. This way, we do not give the impression that certain parts of the Bible are obsolete or insignificant.

Books
5 FALSE. We employ a variety of translations in our studies of the Bible. In the languages in which it is readily available, we particularly appreciate this New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures to use God’s name for its accuracy and clarity. Take a look at the usage for God’s name: Jehovah. In the introduction to one Bible translation, you will find a list of 79 people who have in any way contributed in some manner to the making of this translation. However, the identical Bible is missing the names of its Jehovah God, the author! However, The New World Translation restores the divine name to many of the locations it was present as a textual element. 2

A light bulb
6 FALSE. If we’ve discovered that our beliefs are not entirely in line with the Bible, we have changed our thinking. Before making The New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures in 1950, we used the existing versions and formed our beliefs based on them.

A handshake
7 FALSE. Our mission has a positive impact on many within the community. We have assisted many to overcome harmful addictions, including the abuse of alcohol and drugs. Literacy classes assist thousands of people across the globe in learning to write and read. We also aid victims of natural disasters by providing aid to those in need, both Witnesses and non-witnesses. We endeavor to provide emotional and spiritual assistance that victims desperately require during such moments. 3

People
8 FALSE. We follow the Bible’s advice to “respect everyone”–regardless of their religious beliefs. (1 Peter 2:17; Today’s English version) For instance, even though in certain countries there many thousands, in our country, we don’t attempt to force legislators or politicians into restricting or prohibiting the activities of other religious organizations. We also do not campaign for laws that enforce our moral and religious beliefs on others. Instead, we show other people the same level of tolerance we are grateful for from them.
