The 24th series finale saw the return of Sam Ryan. Amanda Burton, who was first seen in 1996, starred in 54 episodes.

Amanda quit the show in 2004 when Sam, her character on the show, returned to Northern Ireland to be with her family.

Season 24’s finale saw Sam call Nikki Alexander (Emilia Fox) to get her help. She teased a return of the character after 18 long years.

When Sam left in 2004, Dr. Nikki quickly took Sam’s place, making her debut in series 8.

She is Lyell’s lead forensic specialist and will finally be able to meet her predecessor in this anniversary series.

Emilia, who has starred in The Trial Of Christine Keeler and The Casual Vacancy in British dramas, is still a familiar face.

David Caves and Dr. Jack Hodgson

After making his debut in series 16, viewers were shocked to discover Jack is a professional cage fighter. He splits his time between training for his next fight and forensic research.

Silent Witness is still Northern Irish actor David’s most prominent role, but he also has many stage credentials. He was also featured in The Crime Thriller Club, a television documentary presented by Bradley Walsh in 2014.

Professor Sam Ryan has returned after almost two decades. However, it is under very unfortunate circumstances. An assassination triggered her sudden return.

Sam must seek the assistance of the Lyell team after the death of the health secretary during the launch of her new company.

Amanda revealed that she was returning to Silent Witness last year. She teased, “I am so excited to return to Silent Witness and step back into Sam Ryan’s shoes – but with a difference!” As Sam’s activities change since her departure from the Lyell, audiences can expect many twists and turns.

Fans will recognize Amanda from her role in Waterloo Road’s headteacher Karen Fisher and Marcella’s ITV detective series Katherine Maguire.

Hugh Quarshie and Jomo Mashaba

Hugh Quarshie plays Professor Sam Ryan’s husband, Jomo. Hugh will portray Sam’s husband, Jomo. He is also her business partner in their new venture in health.

Most notably, he starred in Holby City as Dr. Ric Griffin. This was after 22 years of being on the BBC.

For his portrayal as Neville Lawrence (the father of Stephen Lawrence) in the ITV drama Stephen, the British-Ghanian actor, was nominated at the 2022 Bafta Television Awards for leading actor gong.

Watch Silent Witness

Tonight’s Silent Witness episode will be broadcast at 9 p.m. on BBC One. Tomorrow, Tuesday, May 24, the second episode will be broadcast in the same time slot.

This will continue for three more weeks. There will be six episodes in total.
