The specific date of June is the date of the anniversary marking Stonewall’s Stonewall Uprising, also called the Stonewall Riots.

On the morning of June 28, 1969, the police took over in the early morning hours of June 28, 1969, police raided Stonewall Inn, a gay club located in New York City. In the following days, there were a lot of people gathered at the Stonewall Inn in protest, which led to violent riots and violence.
